P&O Cruises Offers New Cruises and New Deals on 2009 World Voyages

P&O Cruises World Voyages has released a range of new cruises between Asia and Australia next year on its spectacular child-free superliner, Arcadia, as well as new deals on its classic superliner Oriana with fares starting from $2125* for a 12-night cruise to Hong Kong.

Under the new offer, Australians can now board Arcadia when she calls at Bangkok on February 3, 2009 during her maiden world voyage, enjoying visits to the idyllic Thai island of Koh Samui and the bustling city of Singapore, before sailing to Fremantle, Albany, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.

Fares on Arcadia start from $1440* per person for the 9-night voyage from Bangkok to Fremantle, $2400* per person for a 15-night cruise to Melbourne, $2880* for 18 nights to Sydney and $3200* for 20 nights from Bangkok to Brisbane.

The 83,000-tonne, 2000-passenger Arcadia will be the largest P&O Cruises’ superliner to visit Australia when she calls here next year. Tailormade for couples, the child-free ship boasts 14 bars, a three-storey West End-style theatre and six restaurants and cafes, including an Asian-fusion restaurant and a fine dining venue created by UK celebrity chef Gary Rhodes.

Meanwhile, P&O Cruises has also released new fares for sectors on Oriana’s 2009 world voyage.

Holidaymakers can enjoy cruising from San Francisco to their choice of Auckland, Sydney or Brisbane on Oriana, with stops at magical Honolulu, Pago Pago and Lautoka along the way. Fares on this Pacific sojourn are now priced from $2830* for 16 nights from San Francisco to Auckland, $3360* for 19 nights from San Francisco to Sydney and $3715* for 21 nights from San Francisco to Brisbane.

Alternatively, travellers keen to cruise north to Asia can board Oriana in Sydney or Brisbane and sail to Hong Kong via the tropical northern Queensland ports of the Whitsundays and Cairns and the rarely visited town of Rabaul in Papua New Guinea. New fares start from $2475* per person ex Sydney or $2125* per person ex Brisbane.

Those with more time on their hands can spend an extra week on board and cruise beyond Hong Kong to visit Vietnam, Malaysia and Thailand before disembarking in Singapore. New fares are priced from $3715* per person for the 21-night voyage from Sydney to Singapore or $3360* for 19 nights sailing from Brisbane to Singapore.

Arcadia and Oriana’s visits to Australia follow a two-year multi-million dollar refit program on both ships. The most notable enhancements include cabin refurbishments, with the introduction of eight-inch Slumberland pocket sprung mattresses and Egyptian cotton bed linen in all cabins.

* All fares are per person complete twin share. Fares are subject to availability, conditions apply.
