Silvio's Secret is Sweet

Multi award-winning Executive Chef at Rotorua's 5 Star Kawaha Point Lodge, Silvio Sakrzewski, is the only chef in NZ with a Diploma in Sugar Artistik.

Besides preparing world class meals for the discerning guests at the lakefront lodge, Silvio crafts the most exquisite pieces from, as he puts it, simply sugar. A carousel complete with vividly coloured horses, an intricate underwater scene and a magnificent swan are just some of his delectable creations. More for display than consumption, Silvio can spend hours, sometimes days on a single work and now intends to share his peculiar craft with fellow chefs by running courses from his home studio.
